The other semeion in Revelation 12:3 reveals more biblical truth in connection with the first  semeion.
Revelation 12:3 reads, “Then another sign (semeion) appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.”
The identity of the Red dragon is not debated because he is clearly identified in Revelation 12:9.
Revelation 12:9 reads, “And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”
The second semeion gives us a great deal of biblical truth about the character of Satan. First, he is described as being a red dragon. He is red because he is a murderer of the martyrs and saints down through the centuries. He is pictured as a dragon because of his viciousness and cruelty. The seven heads speak of great wisdom and the seven diadems speak of his rule and reign on the earth. He is the God of this world and the prince of the power of the air. The ten horns speak of his power over the kingdoms of this world that are under his influence.
Revelation 12:4a gives us further spiritual biblical truth behind this second (semeion).

Revelation 12:4a reads, “And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.”
The stars of heaven, angels are often referred to as stars and this would indicate that when Satan rebelled, a third of the angels rebelled with him. That is why there were probably three angels created in the highest order of angelic being, called the archangel. They were of the cherubim class of angels, but three special, and that was Gabriel, Lucifer and Michael. And that they each probably had under their authority a third of the angelic host. And those that were under Lucifer's authority, when he rebelled against God, joined in his rebellion. With his tail he drew a third part of the stars of heaven.

If something is wrong with our heart, if we don’t have that soft Jesus heart, then godly things will not come out of our mouth. Jesus had a servant’s heart. Our Jesus was always serving blessings, delivering people. Our Jesus was always healing someone, or Jesus was on his way to heal someone just about every time we read about him in the scriptures.  (Mark 16:15). Our Jesus had the vision of salvation. Our Jesus died on the Cross to make the born-again experience possible for everyone. (John 3:16). When our God gave Jesus to us, our God gave His whole heart. By a new and living way, which he (Jesus) hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (Hebrews 10:20).

And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick (Matthew 14:14). There’s nothing to compare to Jesus soft heart of compassion. Do we have compassion for the unsaved, for the sick and afflicted? If we have the heart of Jesus we do.

Our heart is filled either with the truth or the false. Jesus said, and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). I am the truth (John 14:6). Know me and be free, Jesus is saying.

An overcoming heart: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (Revelation 12:11). A contaminated heart isn’t going to get into God’s heaven. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8). A praying heart, do you have a heart of prayer? Do you talk to God from your heart? Prayer is not a matter of being on your knees all the time or your body being in a certain position. No, it’s the heart that has to be in the right position.

Never let the way God moves make you doubt, no matter what happens.bookwithmovingpages.gif

In Cana, the mother of Jesus helped Jesus perform the first miracle. She told the servants of the wedding household; whatsoever he (Jesus) saith unto you, do it (John 2:5). That’s the secret, when we do whatever the Lord says. He won’t tell us to do anything big because He doesn’t need us for the big things; He takes care of the big things. He knows the little things are all we can perform. We do something little; He does something big. We do something foolish; He does something wise. Stand still and see the salvation of our Lord! Get rid of the fear closing in on us, about to stifle our very breath. Get rid of the fear and behold the hand of our Lord. You say the waters haven’t separated for you yet? But your toes haven’t touched the waters edge yet. Get your toes next to the water and prepare to take your next step.

Sicknesses and diseases have no choice, either, when it comes to the power of God. God can move them out of our body with no effort on His part. Jesus proved it when He spoke and the sick spirits had to go; the blind spirits, the deaf and dumb spirits were cast out.

The greatest moment we could ever live through is the moment in which we found our Jesus! The next great moment came when we were baptized in the Holy Spirit, when the Holy Spirit came into our life, to move in and set up His abode within us. The Rapture will be yet another great moment for us who are true Children of our God. We will be taken to Heaven without having to die, this will be an incredible time beyond belief. We don't know exactly the time this will happen or exactly the way it will happen but we have the scriptures to teach us!

Lets move in close to be everything our God wants us to be; we should work on this moment by moment so we can pray and grow in our God. Lets live every minute in our God’s will because the Rapture will happen in a moment of time, and only for us who are ready. (I Corinthians 15:51-52).

I Corinthians 51-52 reads, "Behold, I speak a mystery to you; we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed;  in a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet. For a trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed. "

Jesus didn't bring fear to His disciples; He taught them not to be afraid of what life might bring. Our Jesus taught His disciples: Fear not; let not your heart be troubled; don’t be afraid of anything. Jesus used peace; the disciples saw it used under all kinds of adverse circumstances. Our Jesus told them He was going away; but He would leave His peace, His courage with them, His love and His faith. We have those same things, Our Jesus left His disciples, and we don’t live in fear! With the grace and the favour of our God you have nothing to fear and nothing to worry about.
If you’re not free today, say this prayer with me. Please dear God, save my soul. I want to be delivered from this torment; I want to be set free, and I know dear Jesus that your  blood will deliver me. I confess I'm lost in the night. I confess that I’m bound with fear, but I confess my faith in you and I believe the blood of my dear Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart dear Jesus! Come on in. Jesus came in if you meant that prayer, and you can now say: Hallelujah, My Jesus has come! I have found my Lord! Don’t walk in fear; walk in faith.

Hebrews 10:35-36 reads " Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."

To walk with or Lord we must have Faith in Him, complete Faith. Many do not have enough Faith in what our God has said to wait patiently for the fulfilment of the promise. Our God is not a man, our God does not move like a man. He moves like the great God that He is. If we have Faith to do what our God has told us to do, then we should have Faith to know our God will perform what He said. When we obey our Lord He will not fail us. If our Faith is in our Lord Jesus, then our faith is sound?

stumblingblockspic.gif

See if you are in His will; see if you really are giving all to follow our Jesus, to be just like Him. We should de-throne everything and everyone else in our heart and put our Lord God almighty on the throne of our hearts along with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Until we have done all of this, we haven’t forsaken all.

2 Corinthians 13:5 , "  examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith, prove your own selves. Do you not know your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates? "

Some of us have a hard time forgiving others, but we certainly can forgive ourselves. We forgive ourselves for our fusses but we don’t forgive the person who took part in the fuss. By not fussing back, we can avoid a fuss.

Does your spouse try to slow you down, does He or She say that if you loved them you wouldn’t pray or go to church all of the time; if you loved them you would go to their parties, their get-togethers instead of praying. Are they saying you should enjoy the World and you should put them and your family first above your prayer-time....if you bow to their opinions you’re bowing down to them, losing out in your prayer time and your time in the Word of God, (the Bible), and then we will wonder why we don’t have a hunger for the Word of God the way we once had.

IN TIME

oceanssea.gif

The exact time and date our heart will stop beating is recorded! Our Lord knows exactly the length of time we have left, our remaining time is measured; for some it may be just hours; others a day, a week, a month or more. Whatever the time, our death is scheduled, and no man can escape, as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

Our eyes have been opened to the reality that soon our time could run out. We are allotted such a short time on earth; how can anyone afford to give the devil even one minute of that precious time? Few people live to see seventy years, much less eighty; and many, many today have already lived longer than half their lifetimes. But we have a Rapture to look forward to; that time is very near at hand. Today, many of those living in God’s will shall meet the Rapture in the air.

Malachi 4:6-7  "  Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming

of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:  And he shall turn the heart of the

fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come

and smite the earth with a curse.

All the benefits of God contained in the cup are for the children of God, but in the past, Christians have not been taught how to receive them. Today, however, the Lord is saying: Drink ye all of it ....Mathew 26:26-29.  Use everything of me; I gave my whole self for you. I gave you the divine Son of God, and I gave you the Son of man as well, (Jesus). I gave you both man and God; I gave all. I am your everything....To have everything is to have the whole Jesus and all He used when He was here on  Earth; to have everything is to be partakers of Jesus divine blood. We have Jesus blood in our souls, and we are partakers of Jesus body, the Word.

The Psalmist said, Taste and see that the LORD is good (Psalm 34:8), Jesus makes His people sweet.

potterpic.jpg

Our Lord is the Potter we are the Clay, Jesus will mould us into a vessel of Honour, if a man therefore purge himself, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. Like clay in God's hands, we give our will to Jesus, then His will becomes our will.
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

The Lord  makes many kinds of wonderful vessels. We may be a silver vessel for a special moment, a golden vessel, or we may be a wooden vessel, or clay. In other words, at times we may not feel as though we’re doing anything special for our Lord; but if we are God’s vessel, yielded to Him, He’s the one who is using us.

The Lord in Old Testament days was sorry that He had ever made a Man and Woman because they sinned and sold out to Satan. Then the Lord said, I will wipe man and women from off the face of the earth for I regret I even made them... The Lord tells us in Genesis 6:3 that His Spirit will not always strive with man and after Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden of Eden, God was grieved, but He allowed them in their sinful condition to go forth and multiply upon the face of the earth.  Man came to the place that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6:5).  All the sins Satan could bring into the heart and mind of man were put into operation.  The Lord grew from a state of being grieved into displeasure and wrath, and when the anger of the Lord does not leave, it brings about severe judgments upon the face of the earth..  The Lord repented of ever having made man and He destroyed all mankind with the exception of Noah, who found grace in the eyes of the Lord, and his family.

Jesus told us that the Kingdom of Heaven is like the five wise virgins and the five foolish virgins. Here we have two classifications of Christians, the wise and the foolish. Which do I prefer to be, a wise Christian with the oil of the Holy Spirit or a foolish Christian without enough oil of the Holy Spirit to light up my lamp? The destiny of a wise Christian is in our own hands; I am the master of my destiny; I have that choice.

And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived (Numbers 21:8,9). Unbelievable? Yes, if you don’t believe in the power of the Old Rugged Cross of Jesus. But if you do believe in that amazing Cross of Jesus, the Cross on a hill called Calvary where Jesus died almost two thousand years ago, then you know this serpent of brass represents our crucified, Saviour, (Jesus).

waitonGodpic.gif

The Word of God teaches us  to wait. Just because we  are in motion, it doesn't mean  we are in progress with the Lord, have we  mounted up with wings as the eagle and soared into the greatness of  God. Or do we  move in  own will, our own strength.

Not being able to find people who will work in perfect obedience has been a great hindrance to God, but in these day the bride of Jesus Christ has appeared on the scene from all directions, coming together in one mind, one accord, in perfect love and obedience. The Bride, wearing the love of our Jesus, is alert, looking for the return of Jesus, knowing for a fact Jesus is coming back. Living, walking, thinking with the Spirit of God, the true Bride is obeying and being taught by the Holy Spirit and being moved by Him to do Gods will on earth...

Troubles, toil and tribulation, we’re going to have some until we get to heaven. The Bible tells us that in this world ye shall have tribulation.  That promise is ours whether we accept it or not, but we also have our God’s promise that will defeat those troubles and cares. Our God will not leave us defenceless. Why should we be terrified, not knowing whether or not our problems can be overcome? Listen to our Lord Jesus, and we can be victorious.

Our Father in heaven... Have you ever set out to explore the world. It seems so big, and you seem so small. You need a hug to make you feel safe. But just think:
God, who made the world, is closer to you than the wind on your face and the air you breathe. He loves you as his child and wants you, and me, to call Him Daddy.
Dear God, you are a loving father and want us to be your children
Mat 6:9-13 reads"  Therefore pray in this way: Our Father, who is in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we also forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil. For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. "

When Jesus came, He told the disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Matthew 16:24). Deny self, give self to me, Jesus was saying.  Have we given ourselves over to denying self or have we held something in reserve. Do you have the vision of the soon coming of the Lord? Do you have the vision of the judgments about to fall on the earth? Do you have the vision of, go ye into all the world and preach this Gospel to every person?

 lovelywaterful.gif

In John chapter 17, Jesus is praying not only for His followers in that day, but also for us as well to be like Him. The disciples had been trying to be like Jesus, but they couldn’t become like Jesus by trying; we become like Jesus by trusting in the blood of Jesus, in His love, in His grace to help lead others to salvation, and to bless them.

This is Jesus talking to the father: I pray not that thou shouldest keep them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil (John 17:15). We can talk to the Father just like Jesus did because the Bible declares that we are sons and daughters of God.

tornado_auKFAJ21.gif

The Word can be preached, talked about, but it still has to be confirmed. If the Word is compromised by false doctrine, it’s not the whole truth, God won’t confirm it. But when the whole divine truth is preached in divine love, faith, grace, and goodness, it’s confirmed with signs, wonders, miracles and healings. If you aren’t seeing signs, wonders, miracles and healings, ask the question Gideon asked: And Gideon said unto him…where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of(Judges 6:13)? Where are the miracles in churches today? A church with the favor of God will have miracles and healings. Without compromise the minister will preach the Word, live it and tell the people that God will do what He has promised.

stumblingblockspic.gif

Do we have anything in our life that stands between us and our loving Father? Are we willing to give up everything that drives a wedge between our soul and our loving God? When we finally come to the place that we are willing for our Father’s will to be done, this means we have given up everything and put our everything into the hands of our God. What are those little sins in our lives that we sometimes do..... Those little things that are not exactly right?

Do we want a closer walk with our Jesus? Do we desire that closer walk enough that we are willing to give up everything that is unpleasing to our God? What are the things we do that keep us at arm's length with our God who made us? What stands in our way of getting close and cozy with our Jesus? Do we want to feel more of the love and faith that our Jesus is offering to us? If we want all of our Jesus, we will need to give all of ourselves to Him. Jesus does not hold back anything from us…so we should never hold back anything from our Jesus…we should please our Jesus in everything we do!

In the fourth chapter of Revelation, in a vision John one of the followers of Jesus has been caught up into heaven, a type of the Rapture of the Bride of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 4:1-2 " After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. "

These verses describe Jesus on the throne talking to John in the vision. Jesus is magnificent in His glorified state, wonderful to look upon. Standing in heaven before the throne . . . how happy John was! John identified the One sitting on the throne, because John had known Jesus in years past before the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus. Seeing Jesus again must have filled John with joy.

(Revelation 4:3). describes John face to face with Jesus, surrounded by all the wonder of heaven, John's attention is on Jesus, jasper and sardine in appearance, sitting upon a beautiful throne surrounded by an emerald rainbow. John saw the greatest beauty of heaven. Circling the figure of Jesus Christ, the rainbow was a beautiful setting for the most glorious One of all. Of great significance, that emerald rainbow in heaven belongs to the church, the body of Christ. One day we will see it, too, if we remain faithful.
