Jesus taught an exclusive message concerning salvation. We see this message clearly taught in the gospels, which should be understandable to all that read or hear it, as seen in John 3:34-36.
John 3:34-36 reads, “For he whom God has sent says God’s words; and God does not give him the Spirit by measure. The Father has love for the Son and has put all things into his hands. He who has faith in the Son has eternal life; but he who has not faith in the Son will not see life; God’s wrath is resting on him. “
These words of Jesus are the words of God. He had the Spirit, not by measure, as the prophets did in progressive revelation, but in all its fullness. Everlasting life can only be had by faith in Him, and this way exclusively is obtained. Those people, who do not have faith in 1.5 the Son of God, will not see eternal life or God’s salvation. There present condition is that God’s wrath is resting them. Salvation is by faith in Christ alone. Works, religion, or church membership do not secure or qualify a person a place in Heaven. Being a moral person doesn’t. Neither does being a practicing Jew. The message of salvation is exclusively by faith in Jesus Christ, the final revelation of God in these last days. The message is unpopular. You must be born again to be part of Gods family.
This exclusive message of salvation is even unpopular in some churches that believe in the false doctrine of universalism.
Universalism is most commonly found in liberal denominations and churches. It is the same as the modernistic idea and notions of God which emphasise His love in the extreme, without balancing their viewpoint with any sort of notion of God's justice and holiness. Most often, one may hear an universalist use a phrase such as, "A loving God would never condemn anyone to hell!" By saying this, they forget the Scriptural principles of Divine anger against uncovered sin, Divine justice and wrath against said sin, and Divine holiness, which cannot allow that sin into the presence of God in heaven.
The exclusive message of salvation is that God gave His Son as a redeeming sacrifice. His blood was shed for our sins, as seen in John 3:16.
John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
